How to create easy DIY Blast craters for your miniature wargames!

This week we are talking about craters and blast marks!

If you are anything like me then half of the fun of the hobby is the immersion that we get into the game now a third of this comes from the hopefully well-painted miniatures then the next third is the rules, if they are too clunky or slow it breaks the immersion and finally we have part 3 and that is the table scenery itself.

If the table is bland it is not as satisfying to play on, yes you can still have a great game with your friends or solo. But it's when all 3 parts come together that the game is cinematic and rememberable.

Today's video is for the lesser thought of part of the table, blast markers. These can be there at the start of the game from some sort of pre-game bombardment or prior fight.

However, I personally like to show the flow and flux of the battle using casualty markers and craters so that at the end you can look at the table and see how things happened.

This tutorial is very quick and easy so I hope you enjoy it.

Materials:
Polyfilla or you could use clay, plaster or even a caulk-like product.
Paints in earth tones or whatever is suitable for your battle environment.
Flock for the ground. Optional
Scatter Casualties and or equipment. Optional
Clump foliage of static tufts. Optional.

Epic Battles Waterloo French 1st Hussars Painting tutorial Warlord games...

Time to get colourful, Napoleonic Hussars of the 1st Reg

This time I decided that I was ready for some colour on the table so Hussar's were the answer I was looking for.

I chose the 1st Reg to start with as I have a love for bright blue uniforms.

If you want to know how to do it please watch the video and leave a review in the comments.

Thanks for your time and support.

Epic Warhammer 40k is back and this time its 30k!

I was amazed recently to hear that Games Workshop is bringing back Epic!

If you watch the video you will get the chance to see the upcoming units and the game that looks like it will be released soon.

As opposed to the original game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe/timeline it will be set in the 30k Horus heresy time line.

For me this is a giant Bonus as I have always been fascinated by this part of the background lore.

It is still a rumour as at the moment of writing, but fingers crossed it will return.

Till next time, Keep gaming!
